@Fini app for iPhone and iPad

The Fini app is for the people who like to plan rather than be under a very short deadline (no pun) when friends and family pass away.

Why, during your time of grief, pick out pictures, figure out what should be said in the obituary, what music at the service, casket or urn, — among many other decisions.?

The Fini app is envisioned to help adult children plan their parents final arrangements - well in advance of the final event. Or, allow friends/family to help plan the final arrangements as well as help the mature plan their own arrangements.

Just think, if YOU planned your final arrangements to help your love ones in their time of grief - that is your last show of love. Most of us that are experienced in handling final arrangements know how valuable pre-planning can be to stressed and grief stricken loved ones.

Fini will help document all of it, as well as provide useful information regarding the many aspects of funeral planning. The app allows planning for multiple people independent of the plan for others. For example, both your parents would have separate final arrangements documented.

Unfortunately, many end days entail lengthy hospital stays. While visiting, many things are discussed with the person along with potentially discovering their desires for the final arrangements. Having the Fini app close can help you ask the right questions to document the important decisions along with biographical information and other important information.

In addition, if the person desires to notify particular people of the end, the Fini app allows a final email, text message, Twitter and Facebook post. The app posts a picture (from app) and text with his/her final words. Please note: You would have to have the person’s Twitter or Facebook login information to process the post or have access to the persons iPhone if Fini plan is on that phone.

After entering the information and media for the person in the Fini app, the Text and Media can be exported from the app for review or sent/given to the people making arrangements.

The app creates PDF files - one file with text only and one with the media images including the unique descriptions of the photos/video snapshot in the Fini app. In addition, the photos and videos can be exported to the iPhone photo library under an album named Fini For person’s name for ease of use in presentation applications or photo apps.

The Fini app has a Location feature that allows the final resting place to be documented and found using location services. For example, if a plot has been purchased, the GPS coordinates can be found if standing on the plot or the address of the cemetery input. You can even use the map services from the Fini app to get directions to the place location.

Also, the text input areas can handle HTML tags to format the text with headers, bullets, etc. - any HTML tags when exporting to the text PDF file.

Lastly, I use the phones contacts for documenting the funeral director information and the person officiating the service (e.g., minister).
